Arya Farinpour

Arya Farinpour

Chatsworth, CA

Favorite Trail - Dos Vientos Trail/s …..Favorite all around riding would be Santa Monica, Thousand Oaks, and Moorpark Mountains/trails….

Favorite Comp - Temecula 12 hour and Kenda Cup West series.

Defining words - In high school I was a sprinter and went to State all four years….so I like short power sprints on the mountain or road bike. I usually do best on either short steady climbs or flat sections when quick bursts of speed and power count. I always say “if the race were 100 to 200 yards on flat surface with one short climb… I’d be hard to beat”…unfortunately most races are longer….Also, since I often ride with some downhill guys my downhill technical skills aren’t too bad for a guy over 52. I never back down from a challenge and I ride regardless of rain, sleet, or mud ….only exceptions are snow, ice or lightning…when those are around I stay home and work on my bikes.

Chino Almenara

Chino Almenara

Thousand Oaks, CA

Favorite Trail: I am grateful to be surrounded by hundreds of miles of beautiful space for MTB and road riding. I enjoy every trail in my town especially Western Plateau, Wildwood Park, Dos Vientos, Sycamore Canyon and the Los Robles

Trail. Each trail has challenges and that determines my choices when training or just going out to have fun with the boys.

Favorite Races - I enjoyed the Kenda Cup in Los Olivos, Fontana and Big Bear. They are fast and technical courses, but my favorite competitive event on the list has to be the Sea Otter Classic and the Mammoth Kamikaze.

Defining Words - I am a competitive flow mountain biker who always likes to push the pursuit of improving my skills and fitness. Always focused on my nutrition and workouts to maintain or improve my fitness. I like to spend time on the bike as much as possible either training, simply enjoying the group rides and giving it all at the race. Cycling is the balance in life.
When Chino isn't riding he is: Day Dreaming of riding my bikes as I strive to be the best I can as a husband and father of two great kids. I enjoy the outdoors as much as possible from beaching, surfing, camping to scuba diving, getting together with friends and dancing to Latin music.

Eric Webster

Eric Webster

Thousand Oaks, CA

Favorite Trail - The 26 mile McKenzie River Trail, OR

Favorite Local Trail - Santa Monica Mtns. Sycamore Canyon to the beach and pretty much any trail in the Conejo Valley..

Favorite Comps - Sea Otter, Mammoth Kamikaze Bike Games

Defining Words - Cycling is a up hill sport for me, it seams it's always up hill. Climbing is my strong point and hope someday I feel comfortable going scary fast down hill. Sure wish I had started this sport sooner! The camaraderie of the riders you meet and the thrill "butterflies" of racing are epic. The real sense of community helps inspire better performance because pushing yourself becomes more fun.
When you are not riding you are? Husband and father in training 28 years. Sales & marketing for Webster Promo 34 years. Camping, hiking, fishing and just relaxing at the beach are other pastimes but my bike is never to far away.

Thousand Oaks, CA

Favorite Local Trail - Wildwood or Sycamore

Favorite Comp - Sea Otter, Mammoth Kamikaze

Defining words - If I'm having a bad day, getting on the bike always makes things better. While I'm a fairly competitive person not every ride is a race to me, it's all about hanging out with your buddies. 90% of MTB riders are genuinely good people and I try my best to be part of that group. Common courtesy to Hikers and Horses goes a long way on the trails, slowing down and just being nice will help keep the trails open for us all to enjoy. If you're not having fun, you're doing it wrong.

Chris Woodruff

Location - Moorpark, Ca.
Favorite Trail - Big Bear Skyline Singletrack, Wildwood Lizard Rock & Fox Hills Singletrack, and anything in Sycamore Canyon
Favorite Comp -   Kenda Cup Series, Fontana Winter Series, and although not competing, any road Century to mix it up.
Defining words -.Mountain biking has a unique way of letting you commune with nature, while at the same time pushing the agility, coordination and incredible potential of the human body.  I still take in all the amazing views and landscapes whenever I ride, whether powering on a grueling climb, or spinning down an eye-blurring singletrack, and that makes any challenge a pleasure.  The icing on the cake is sharing that experience with riding friends; nothing beats good trail banter with pals and a good game of chase!
When you are not riding you are? Going to the movies or a beach or pool day with the family, hiking, or reading about nutrition, new tech, or gear.

Defining words -.I really enjoy racing with these guys from my own backyard in the Conejo Valley. As the owner of Ojio and the Ojio Sport brand it has been my pleasure to ride with the best out there and to share the unbelievable experiences we have out on the trail. I truly appreciate everything these guys to and am learning a little more each day about the world of competitive mountain bike racing.
When you are not riding you are?  Hanging out with my great staff at Ojio and preparing for another ride.
